Click Here to Access the KIR Rural Survey
The purpose of the DRS project kiR Rural is to develop an effective version of the keepin’ it REAL curriculum customized for rural middle school students in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Participating schools will be randomly assigned to deliver the original keepin’ it REAL curriculum, to the adapted version of the curriculum, or to a control condition. Control schools will continue their regular prevention activities during the implementation year and receive keepin’ it REAL at no cost the following year. All schools will participate in regular surveys (once or twice a year) to evaluate the effectiveness of the original and new versions of the curriculum.

Liasons
All participating schools will be assigned a kiR Liaison. Your liaison will provide you with your first level of technical support. They will be in contact with schools and teachers throughout the project to ensure that you have the training and support you need. Your liaison will coordinate the implementation of the program, collect data, track prevention activities and answer any questions you have as they arise.
